Chairperson Donald Trump has completely scorched the earth above Pope Leo XIV in a social media post Sunday night, criticizing the pope for his recent criticism of the Iran war and on a number of topics ranging from crime to COVID-19.
Trump – in a lengthy post on Truth Social – told the Pope that he had had enough of his accusations.
The president said that Pope Leo has “terrible” thoughts on foreign policy and is “Weak” on both crime and nuclear weapons. He also credited the Chicago-born pontiff with becoming the first American pope last year.
“I don’t want a Pope criticizing the President of the United States because I’m doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LAND, to do, setting records for low crime and creating the greatest stock market in history,” the president said. “Leo should be grateful because as everyone knows, he was a shocking surprise.”
Trump continued, “he was not on any list to become Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he is American, and they thought that would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I wasn’t in the White House, Leo wouldn’t be in the Vatican.”
The president then pulled the papal family into beef.
Trump said he likes his brother Leo Louis Prevost “much better” because he is “all MAGA” — echoing what he said last year, when he applauded Prevost for being a “big MAGA fan.”
The president ended his speech by asking Pope Leo to use “Common Sense” and “stop serving the Radical Left.”

Pope Leo is weak on crime and terrible on foreign policy. He talks about “fear” of the Trump Administration, but does not mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church and all other Christian Institutions have had during COVID when they have arrested priests, pastors and everyone else, for holding Church services, even when going out and staying 10, even 20 feet apart.
I like his brother Louis a lot more than I like him, because Louis is totally MAGA. He gets it, but Leo doesn’t! I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s okay for Iran to have nuclear weapons. I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible for America to attack Venezuela, a Country that is sending massive amounts of Drugs into the United States and worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers, drug traffickers and murderers, into our Country.
And I don’t want a Pope criticizing the President of the United States because I’m doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LAND, to do, setting records for low crime and creating the greatest Stock Market in history. Leo should be grateful because as everyone knows, he is a shocking surprise.
He was not on any list to become Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he was American, and they thought it would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I’m not at the White House, Leo isn’t at the Vatican.
Unfortunately, Leo is weak on crime, weak on nuclear weapons, not suitable for me, nor is he meeting Obama sympathizers like David Axelroda LOSER from the Left, one who wants to arrest churchgoers and clergy.
Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a great Pope, not a Politician. It is hurting him very badly and more importantly it is hurting the Catholic Church! President DONALD J.TRUMP
Trump’s post came after Pope Leo stepped up his criticism of the Iran war last week.
The pope condemned Trump’s threat to wipe out “entire civilization” in Iran if the country’s theocratic leaders fail to reach a deal, calling it “truly unacceptable.” He then spoke out against the war three days later, saying “God does not bless any conflict.”
Those comments came after the pope ripped into the Trump administration’s “extremely disrespectful” treatment of illegal immigrants last year.
Shortly after his Truth Social post, Trump doubled down on his anti-Leo comments when speaking to reporters in front of Air Force One on Sunday night.
“We don’t like a pope who always says it’s okay [for Iran] have nuclear weapons,” Mr. Trump said.
He added, “I’m not a big fan of Pope Leo. He’s a very liberal man and someone who doesn’t believe in stopping crime.”
